Cambridge International Examination
SCAD World School is affiliated to the University of Cambridge International Examinations. We are also a registered member of the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) and offer a range of internationally accepted qualifications.
We prepare our children for the Cambridge ICE/IGCSE at the end of grade 10.
University of Cambridge International Examinations is the world's largest provider of international education programmes and qualifications for 5-19 year olds. It offers a broad range of qualifications, created for an international audience. Cambridge qualifications are taken in over 9,000 schools in over 160 countries and recognized by universities, educational providers and employers across the world.
Cambridge IGCSE develops learner knowledge, understanding and skills in:
- Subject content
- Applying knowledge and understanding to familiar and new situations
- Intellectual enquiry
- Flexibility and responsiveness to change
- Working and communicating in English
- Influencing outcomes
- Cultural awareness
Cambridge IGCSE subjects available at SCAD World School are grouped into five curriculum areas, as follows:
- Group I : Languages
- Group II : Humanities and Social Sciences
- Group III : Sciences
- Group IV : Mathematics
- Group V : Creative, Technical and Vocational
Candidates must study at least seven subjects selected from the five IGCSE curriculum areas. The subjects selected should include two (different) languages from Group I and one subject from each of Groups II, III, IV and V. The seventh subject can be taken from any of the five subject groups.
We will also be offering the Cambridge International AS and A levels for 16-19 years old (Grades 11 and 12) in the future
