School reopens G9,10, As & A Level
The Sports Day is definitely a tradition and a big event where everyone gets involved and enjoys the day, with their friends, in the true spirit of sportsmanship.
The 1st Annual Sports Day of SCAD WORLD SCHOOL was celebrated on Sunday, 2nd February 2014 at 2:30pm in the SWS Sports Complex. The Chief Guest Thiru N. K. Senthamarai Kannan, I.P.S Commissioner of Police, Tirupur City, graced the occasion accompanied by Dr. S. Cletus Babu, Chairman, SCAD Group of Institutions.
The day began with the Tamilthai Vazthu, followed by the prayer song presented by the school choir. The guests were welcomed by the Principal, Mr. J Fredrick Sam and the Chief Guest was honoured by our esteemed Chairman. The Olympic and School flags were hoisted and the chief guest took the salute. This was followed by the march past and the lighting of the Olympic Torch also by our Chairman. Kanishk of Grade – 9 took the oath and the sports meet was declared open by Thiru N. K. Senthamari Kannan, I.P.S.
The sun was shining bright on SCAD World School and the students kept cheering as the main events began, waiting eagerly for the scores to be updated. The little tiny tots, full of energy were in their best as they danced with Pim Poms to the song Gummy Bear.
The 100m race of the boys and girls was a breath-taking event with such a close finish. The bursting of the balloons and the obstacle race for the primary section was also held. The lesium display and the horse-riding was such a spectacular show for both the athletes and spectators alike. The parents and guest event was the most enjoyable.
The Presidential address by our Chairman, Dr. S. Cletus Babu was very inspiration and the most amazing experience – Motivation doesn’t come much better than this – the special Sports week. All parents were also highly appreciative of the celebration.
Though there were no records to be broken, its been a lot of hard work and much more – lots of fun. The Sports Meet was declared closed, followed by the prize distribution ceremony, vote of thanks and the national anthem.
