Art is an expression of one’s own deepest thoughts that cannot always be expressed through words. PSG Hospitals conducted NALAM – 2014, a medical exhibition on the 10th of July 2014, at the PSG Hospital Grounds, Peelamedu, Coimbatore. The highlights of the exhibition were:-
- Cultural activities for kids.
- Painting Competition.
- Poster Competition for children
- Essay Competition.
- Slogan Writing and
- Art from waste
Nancy Mathew of Grade 10 and Kanishk also of Grade 10 won the 1st Prize for Art from waste, in which old newspapers, old carton boxes and one side A4 sheets were used.
Michael Sam of Grade 10 participated in the elocution competition. He spoke on the topic ‘Say No To Tobacco’ and he won the 2nd prize.
Nancy Mathew of Grade 10 secured the 3rd place in the painting competition for the topic ‘Deforestation’.
In the poster competition 35 students participated out of which 5 students were selected, from SCAD World School, Christina F of Grade 7, Nirupama of Grade 10 and Kanishk of Grade 10 submitted their posters. Nirupama of Grade 10 and Kanishk of Grade 10 names were listed in the top 5.
At SCAD World School, the motive is to keep the artist alive, in every child as long as they are with us, and the various Inter-School competitions have proved it so.
