School reopens G9,10, As & A Level
On the 68th Independence Day of this great Nation, the staff and students of SCAD World School gathered for the flag hoisting at 9:00 am. The Chief Guest, Mr. M. Vinod, Inspector of Police, Kamanaikanpalayam, Tiruppur District was escorted by our Principal, Mr. Frederick Sam.
To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of freedom.
Nancy Mathew of Grade 10 and Shamini of Grade 9 welcomed the Chief Guest and the Principal honoured him with the traditional shawl and presented him a moments as a token of gratitude.
Subhalakshana and Vibhav gave a speech each in Tamil and Hindi and Sindhu gave a speech in English on the significance of the day.
To keep alive the flame of patriotism the students performed a dance.
On this auspicious day the Chief Guest Mr. M. Vinod shared his views on freedom and interacted with the students finding out what freedom from their point of view. He also called upon the youth as the wealth and the hope of the nation, who will lead the country and make it a great nation of the world.
The Principal also shared his views on the freedom struggle. The Chief guest then gave away two tropies to the winners of the Archery Championship, held at the ARB School, Pollachi, to Satheesh of Grade 10 and the winner in the Science Expo held at SCAD World School, to Hari Parsanth and Arvind .P for the Potato and Lemon Battery project. This was followed by the vote of thanks by our respected Principal.
Another exciting even for the day was the colouring competition for the students of Grade 1 – 5 and an Essay Writing Competition for the students of Grade 6 – 10.
The highlight of the day was the Quiz Competition for all the students on the topic “Our Country” Both rounds, the visual round and the answer me round went on with full enthusiasm and participation from all the students. Prizes were given for every correct answer and many students received prizes. Lunch was served immediately and then the children boarded the bus for home at around 2:00 pm.
