“Yoga synchronizes the Mind, Body and Soul.”

          There was a special assembly on 20th June 2015 in the AV Room to celebrate International Yoga Day.

          Mrs. Vandana Sinha organized the programme which consisted of a talk by her making students aware of what is yoga and how this day was decided to be celebrated on a grand scale.

          The programme began with a skit, which highlighted the fact, that many sicknesses can be avoided in life, by doing simple asanas on a regular basis, so-‘Prevention is better than cure.’

                This was followed by a ‘Quiz’ where children were asked to name the asana, as well as identify the Yogi. The next on the agenda was the performance of the ‘Surya Namaskar’ – the practice of which stimulates and balances all the systems of our body like the circulatory, respiratory, digestive and reproductive systems. The Principal too spoke on the occasion about making yoga a part of every one’s life which will indeed bring peace to the whole world.
