School reopens G9,10, As & A Level

Today a school without games and sports is unthinkable, as sports and games have become an integral element of present-day education.
Education is an all-round development of the child. In this admiration games and sports play a significant role.
The 5th Annual Sports Day of SCAD World School was held on 25th of February 2017 at 8.00 am in our SCAD Sports complex. Respected Chief Guest Dr. K Murugavel Director & Professor, Head of the department of physical education, Bharathiyar university, Coimbatore and distinguished guest Mr. S. Devasigamani Inspector of police Kamanayakanpalayam, adorned the occasion.
It was a cheerful luminous morning and the event started with a prayer song sung by our own school choir.
This was followed by the welcome address by our Senior Principal, Mr. K.B. Kumar. His speech was indeed, convivial and thoroughly inspiring. The chief Guest, Dr. K. Murugavel, HOD and Director of Physical Education, Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore, was honoured by our Senior Principal Mr. K. B. Kumar and the Guest of Honour Mr S. Deivasigamani, Inspector of Police, Kamanayakanpalayam was honoured by our Principal Mr. Daniel. X Lawrence Kumar.
This was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony in a successive order, with the National flag being hoisted by the Chief Guest Dr. K. Murugavel, then trailed the Olympic flag, which was hoisted by the Guest of Honour Mr. S. Devasigamani, Inspector of Police and in conclusion, the school flag was hoisted by Dr. C. G Ravichanderan, Principal, SCAD Institute of Technology.
After the flag hoisting ceremony was concluded the students of SCAD World school exhibited a vibrant march past in their respective house formations. This was indeed a sight to watch as they pompously marched the arena.
After the much awaited march past was witnessed, the Sports Meet was declared open by our esteemed Chief Guest Dr. K. Murugavel. The Olympic torch was handed over to the sports captain by Mr. S. Devasigamani and together with the sports council, our sports captain, V. P. Harshini ignited the torch. This was followed by the oath taking ceremony by our school sports captain V.P. Harshini.
The 100 metres Sprint Event for under 16 and under 19 boys was a spectacular race to watch, all, including teachers and house masters geared up to cheer their respective house participants.
The Annual report by Mr.V. Pandia Rajan clearly tinted that the school has carved a niche for itself among the cluster of educational institutions in this zone but the dictum of the school is empowering education and global leadership so we will not bask in the glory of laurels but keep moving forward in our quest for perfection to become the leader, yes global leaders.
As the Pre-Primary and Upper Primary sections clubbed together on the field for some enthusiastic drill dance and aerobics, the aura was full of effervescence. The day became glossier in its true sense. And all applauded to cheer the young gymnasts on the field.
The secondary section was not in any way behind, with the Yoga display and Karate session. The displays showcased sheer skill and talent the students have conformed upon.
The Kindergarten and the Mixed relay events were non-the less, exciting and equally mesmeric.
All of the above was finally rewarded with the prize distribution ceremony followed by an inspirational address for the gathering by Dr. K. Murugavel, our respected Chief Guest for the event.
They say, all is well if it ends well and our event was well concluded by our adored Principal, Mr. Daniel X Kumar by his vote of thanks to all present.
The closing ceremony was followed by the National Anthem.
The school dispersed with much exhilaration at around 10.45 am.
